The collapse of a building that housed a mobile store, caused panic in Huy, Belgium. The building, for unknown reasons, had cracks that were multiplied every day. When the manager heard crackling suspects, he called firefighters to descend on site.
The authorities evacuated the neighboring shops and houses so as to avoid any human loss in a potential collapse of the building, which ultimately collapsed like a house of cards during the midday peak.
The authorities excluded the area around the wreckage for security reasons. The debris destroyed several cars that were parked near the point of collapse.
