Four construction workers were hurt Wednesday afternoon in an accident at a building site in Perry, officials said.
The Perry Police Department reported that shortly after noon, police officers and fire crews were called to a possible roof collapse at a new retail center under construction on Perry Parkway. When they arrived, they found four injured workers and began treating them right away.
Assistant Fire Chief Kirk Crumpton told WGXA that one worker said the roof gave way, which then caused the walls to fall onto nearby crew members.
