On Wednesday, June 25, a building collapsed at approximately 1:30 PM local time at the Seabrook Brothers & Sons facility, located at 85 Finley Road in Upper Deerfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey. The incident resulted in one injury.
Emergency crews and several first responders promptly arrived at the scene to assess the situation and ensure public safety. Initially, authorities suggested that an explosion may have occurred. However, according to Cumberland County Administrator Kevin Smaniotto, the collapse was caused by a structural failure.

In his statement, Smaniotto also mentioned that small ammonia leaks occurred, but emergency teams are working to contain the situation. He emphasized that the area is no longer in danger, although he advised the public to continue avoiding the site. The exact cause of the structural failure is not yet known, and an investigation is currently underway to determine what led to the collapse.
