According to a statement from Asyut province authorities, rescue teams, assisted by civil protection units, responded swiftly to the incident. Upon arrival, they initiated rescue operations to free those trapped beneath the debris. Specialized intervention teams worked on-site, carefully clearing rubble to ensure no one remained buried.
Authorities have launched an investigation, led by the province’s engineering committee, to determine the exact cause of the collapse. Additionally, experts are assessing the structural stability and safety of nearby buildings due to concerns over potential further collapses.
