On Friday 20th of August, a five-floor building collapsed in downtown Damanhur city in Egypt's Beheira Province, state-run Ahram.
As a result, five people lost their lives while two were injured. All the victims were residents of the building. Until now, there is no official report about the causes that led the building to collapse and still authorities are investigating the incident, as the Xinhua news agency reported.
Meanwhile, Hisham Amna, governor of Beheira, said in a statement that three neighboring buildings have been immediately evacuated to protect citizens and to facilitate the rescue work and rubble removal teams.
