The ME Construction News reports that Nakheel and RIU Hotels & Resorts announced that a new resort is scheduled to be constructed soon. It will be located in Dubai's Deira Islands, a group of artificial islands near Dubai. Its construction will commence this year and is expected to have been completed by the end of 2019.
Overseen by Dar Al Handasah, a worldwide-expanded major engineering company with activity in Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe, the luxurious resort will include 800 rooms, 4 swimming pools, a kid's club and areas for relaxation such as a spa, a fitness center, all day-restaurants and areas with stages for shows and night entertainment. The water park of the resort will cover 10% of the overall area, which is estimated to be around 3.4 million square feet!
The RUI operates more than 100 hotels, with 45,000 rooms, in 19 countries worldwide! Furthermore, Nakheel undertook the construction of Deira Mall, the Deira Islands Night Souk and other attractions of the area. The main goal is to make Deira Island a luxurious point of attraction for tourists from all over the world.
