One more collapse in just two months occurred on Wednesday in Egypt, in the city of Shoubra el-Khaima in Qalyubia province. It was a four-storey building that was used as the headquarter of a law firm. Unfortunately, three lawyers, among of them and the firm's owner, were working at the instant the collapse occurred and were killed according to the Bar Association’s branch in Qalyubia.
The efforts of the rescue teams to find possible victims under the rubbles, continued as the daily Al-Ahram, reported.
The official MENA news agency said police cordoned off the area and evacuated a neighboring building for safety reasons.
It was not immediately known what caused the collapse. MENA reported that prosecutors’ initial investigation showed the building was old but didn't say how old.
