A silo containing many tons of grain collapsed Monday evening at Wilcox Farms in Roy, Washington. One man is believed to be trapped under as much as 50 tons of corn and is presumed dead. A Federal Emergency Management Agency engineer was on site to assess the damage and determine whether it was safe to proceed with search efforts, but could not confirm the safety of the building. The collapse leaked tons of corn into an office and electrical area where the worker was located. The cause of collapse has still yet to be determined. A similar collapse took place in Iowa some years ago and was caught on video. The video can be found here.
