Scheduled to open on November 24th, the tallest building in Japan, the Mori JP Tower, is set to grace the heart of Tokyo. Developed by Mori Building Co., this tower reaches a height of approximately 330m, 30m higher than the 300-meter-tall Abeno Harukas structure in Osaka. The Mori JP Tower symbolizes a remarkable architectural achievement, located in the redeveloped Azabudai Hills area, northwest of Tokyo Tower.
Rising 64 stories above ground and descending five stories below, the Mori JP Tower accommodates a diverse range of facilities, encompassing offices, residences, medical facilities, and an international school. Adjacent tall edifices also house residential units and a hotel, alongside other amenities. The primary goal of this initiative is to establish an enticing environment for foreign executives and affluent individuals, thereby stimulating increased investments within Japan.
In harmony with this, the lower section of Azabudai Hills provides space for approximately 150 commercial enterprises, while a subterranean food market spanning approximately 4,000m2 enhances the central plaza. It should be outlined that the imminent introduction of the Mori JP Tower represents a significant milestone, adorning Tokyo's skyline and adding vibrancy to the city's thriving and dynamic urban panorama.
Furthermore, opening concurrently in November, the Azabudai Hills area, together with the Mori JP Tower, encompasses a collection of three towering structures and a lush expanse spanning about 24,000m2. This captivating green area encompasses a central plaza covering around 6,000m2.
Having commenced its journey in 1989, the Azabudai Hills development project saw construction initiation in 2019 after nearly thirty years of discussions involving 300 landowners. The comprehensive project expenditure is estimated at around $4.45 billion.
