The "Pearl of Istanbul", called as such thanks to the unique shape of the islands, is a major port project, that will keep busy several structural engineers thanks to the impressive towers of the complex.
The residential tower, one of the six towers, consists of 28 stories, with big balconies and provides a panoramic view of the marina. The designers of the towers tried considered cost efficiencies and the ease of the construction, using environmentally friendly materials which will make the buildings looked impressive and unique. Consequently, the buildings are articulated in glass using extensively metal panels, zinc and wood. The design has considered the position of the sun throughout the day, and aims on the abundance of sunlight inside the buildings, and the change of its colors, as the sun rays hit the glass facade of the towers.
