Α real estate development firm, Litehaus, announced its ambition to construct the "first Portuguese 3d-printed building". Its plan will mark a pioneering project for the region. The house will be located just 30 minutes from Lisbon, in Portela da Villa, near Torres Vedras.
The company aims to integrate Artificial Intelligence in the design phases with 3d printing technologies in the construction process. Simi Launay, Litehaus' Chief Creative Officer, stated that the 3d printing technology will be primarily used for constructing walls, highlighting the efficiency of this technology as it enables them to manufacture up to 45m2 of walls in just 20 hours.
In all, Litehaus envisions to annually construct 100 houses in Portugal. Its commitment is to reduce the time and the cost of housing. Furthermore, the company would like to harmonize the houses with Portugal's natural beauty, delivering structures that offer elegance and minimalism.
