According to a recent video published by CGTN, the New Greater Bay Area bridge is nearing completion. More specifically, the video refers:
“Construction of a new bridge linking the southern Chinese cities of Shenzhen and Zhongshan is nearing completion, with the main structure unveiled on Friday.
The 24-kilometer-long bridge crosses over Lingdingyang Bay and is a major infrastructure project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Once it is opened to traffic, the bridge will cut travel time between the two cities from two hours to only 20 minutes.
The main bridge cable is made of domestically engineered galvanized steel wire, which can hold 2060 megapascal of pressure, making it one of the world's strongest steel wires.”
