An under construction bridge collapsed on Monday in Bangkok. The collapse caused the death of at least two people and several injuries while videos shared on social media depicted the bridge's metal and concrete section collapsing, creating a dust cloud in the vicinity.
The incident occurred at a construction site in Lat Krabang, located in the eastern part of the Thai capital, as reported by the Khaosod news portal. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the area temporarily. Local media reported that the Overpass Bridge overturned during rush hour, causing significant traffic congestion and damaging multiple cars.
In a previous incident in May, strong winds caused a metal roof to collapse at a school activity center in Phichit province, located about 300 kilometers north of Bangkok, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals, including four children, and injuring 18 others.
