A tragic event occurred in north-eastern Perth at a construction site in the Inglewood suburb, where a man lost his life after a wall collapse. Another individual sustained severe injuries and was transported to Royal Perth Hospital by St. John WA for medical assistance. He remains in critical condition. The collapse happened on Sexton Road on Thursday, December 5, in the afternoon.
Emergency services and police promptly arrived at the site and initiated rescue operations. Despite their efforts, they were unable to save the man. The cause of the collapse is not yet known, and an investigation is currently underway by WorkSafe representatives. Reports indicate that the structure was under construction, with several construction vehicles, including a front loader and a truck, parked outside.
At present, the police department is preparing a report for the coroner, while detectives and firefighters continue inquiries at the cordoned-off residential property.
