A bridge that served for more than 100 years the residents of Pennsylvania, in the northeastern United States, was demolished by the authorities on Wednesday, due to the fact that an inspection revealed major deterioration. The bridge «Donora-Webster» remained closed from 2009 for safety reasons and the authorities finally decided to demolish it by using explosives.

Indeed, the police had asked residents to evacuate the area within a radius of 300 meters, however they could watch the demolition even from far away, recording with their cameras impressive shots of the fall of the historic bridge into the river.
