Thailand has unveiled an ambitious plan to construct the world's tallest building, that will surpass the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The colossal tower is proposed to be built in Bangkok by the supervision of the same company responsible for the record-breaking structure in Dubai. This initiative follows similar efforts by other countries to claim the title of the world's tallest building.
It should be mentioned that the exact height and cost of the project remains unknown. However, the megastructure aims to surpass Burj Khalifa's title as the tallest building globally. The unnamed tower is envisioned to accommodate a diverse range of facilities, including offices, hotels, and entertainment venues within its extensive complex.
The project includes plans for an entertainment center, casinos, a financial hub, and a large department store. The grand aspiration to outstrip Burj Khalifa is facilitated by the involvement of Emaar Group, the Middle Eastern company responsible for the towering 821-meter structure in Dubai, indicating a potential attempt to surpass their own record.
According to the Thai Prime Minister Thavisin, when the challenge of building a structure higher than Burj Khalifa was presented to the companies, the proposal met with their interest, and it was accepted. Mohamed Alabbar, the founder of Emaar Group, confirmed that discussions regarding the prospective tower are in early stages and would involve private investors rather than a publicly traded corporation.
