Construction has started on the Burj Azizi, a tower valued at $1.5 billion and named after Dubai Azizi Developments. This iconic structure is anticipated to become the second tallest building in Dubai, following the 828-meter Burj Khalifa. Although the exact height of the Burj Azizi has not been announced, it is expected to exceed the height of 414 meters to reach the second position currently held by the Princess Tower.
The ambitious 122-storey project will encompass a vertical mall, residential units, a seven-star hotel, an observation deck, as well as various restaurants and bars. Positioned along Sheikh Zayed Road, near the Emirates Towers and Palm Jumeirah, the Burj Azizi aims to redefine the city's skyline. The completion of the Burj Azizi is projected for the year 2028.
Mirwais Azizi, the founder of Azizi Developments, expressed his enthusiasm, stating that: “This tower will be our legacy. With Dubai having given my family and I so much – safety and abundance of opportunities – this tower, which will be the second tallest, is our way of giving back to this emirate and its remarkably hospitable and welcoming people.”
