Two people lost their lives, and 13 others sustained injuries due to the collapse of an under-construction school building in Anekal taluk, Bengaluru. On Friday morning, when the incident occurred, 15 laborers were actively working on the site. The laborers were involved in the concrete laying work on the upper part of the building.
More specifically, the two workers who lost their lives were providing support to the roof during the concrete laying process. Anekal police, responsible for filing the FIR, reported that the structure collapsed, resulting in the tragic incident, the cause of which is under investigation.
Balbandi assured that the debris at the construction site has been cleared, and there are no people trapped underneath. Moreover, he mentioned that two of the injured laborers suffered "serious injuries."
