Roof collapse at Thessaloniki shopping mall injures woman
A section of ceiling collapsed inside a shopping mall in Thessaloniki on Saturday afternoon, triggering panic among shoppers and injuring a 45-year-old woman.
The incident happened just before 7:00 pm at a food outlet within the mall, at a time when the walkways were busy. Without warning, part of the roof reportedly fell while people were in the area.
Initial reports indicate that the woman suffered injuries to her head and neck. She remained conscious and was quickly assisted by paramedics from the National Emergency Aid Centre (EKAB).
Emergency crews administered first aid at the scene before transporting her by ambulance to Papanikolaou Hospital for further examination and treatment.
