Four people were killed and eight others injured when a part of a ramp bridge in Ezhou City, central China's Hubei Province, tilted on one side on Saturday afternoon, as the local emergency management agency reported.
The accident took place at around 3:37 p.m. BJT, when part of the structure connecting the Wuhan-Huangshi expressway and Daqing-Guangzhou expressway collapsed. Four vehicles tipped over, said the agency.
China's Ministry of Transport (MOT) said on Saturday that it has dispatched experts to Hubei to assist in the aftermath of the accident.
The ministry has instructed local transport departments to check the situation and conduct emergency rescue work.
The injured are now in hospital for medical treatment and investigation is underway, Xinhua reported.
