A bridge, that was still under construction, suddenly collapsed in Jalan Pengerang, Kota Tinggi, Malaysia causing the death of a Bangladeshi construction worker.
The tragic incident occurred on 28 of October 2018 at approximately 9am. The 42-year-old victim was occupied with construction work when, unfortunately, he fell down with the bridge as it collapsed. Other construction workers were also present but no one was affected.
Eight rescuers rushed to the site after receiving a report at 9:44am according to Azlan Mohd Sobberi, Bandar Penawar Fire and Rescue Station Operations officer. 20 minutes later, the crew found the body of the unlucky worker and delivered it to the police.
The cause of the collapse is still unknown. Public Works Department, local authorities in Pengerang and other organizations have already started an investigation.
