FFSpro

FFSpro is a Fitness-For-Service (FFS) assessment software that (1) Utilizes Failure Assessment Diagram (FAD) to determine the structural integrity of in-service components that contain crack-like flaws, following API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 assessment procedures in Part 9. (2) Performs brittle fracture assessment of existing equipment to establish the Minimum Allowable Temperature (MAT), following Part 3 for Level 1 and Level 2, and Part 9 for Level 3 assessment procedures. (3) Performs Level 1 and Level 2 assessment for general metal loss in Part 4, local metal loss in Part 5, and pitting corrosion in Part 6.

With the help of this software, the user is able to determine if equipment can continue to operate safely, and make decisions about running safely without repair, or running safely after repair, or replacing equipment, knowing that the decisions comply with the Standard.  With the software’s capability of predicting remaining life under cyclic loading, the user is able to establish appropriate inspection plans.
