New Release - ADINA 2026 Featured

Bentley Systems just announced the 2026 major release of ADINA. For a complete list of new features and corrections see ADINA 2026 Release Notes.

Ribbon Menu Customization

An option to customize the Ribbon menu has been added to the program. Add a ribbon menu tab and include any commonly used commands within groups or panels. 

Spring Defined over Line or Surface/Face

The existing 'Define Spring Elements' feature has been extended to more geometries and improved with the ability to assign individual spring element parameters using generated tributary lengths/areas and spatial factors. This simplifies the process of modeling soil supports for example.

Cloud Analysis (Technical Preview)

The ADINA Cloud Service for managing ADINA structural simulation jobs through the Bentley Analysis Cloud Service has been added. This feature allows the user to analyze an ADINA data file using the ADINA Structures solver on a virtual machine hosted by Bentley Systems.

Edge Glueing

General Glue Meshing has been enhanced to allow a line or edge of a shell to be glued to a surface or face without a matching mesh. This can be used to simulate a line of weld for example.

Tapered beam

The tapered beam, whose cross-section varies linearly in size along its length, is a newly added option to the standard beam solution. This is consistent with tapered beam analysis in other products like STAAD.Pro or RAM Elements for linear elastic analysis, but includes plastic material behavior in ADINA.

Rayleigh Damping calculation

The Rayleigh damping feature has been enhanced to allow users to plot the frequency (Hz)–damping ratio curve.
