The Moles is a national organization of individuals now or formerly engaged in the construction of tunnel, subway, sewer, foundation, marine, sub-aqueous, or other heavy construction projects. Founded in 1936 by a group that worked together between 1914 and 1919 on underground and tunneling projects under Newark Bay and the waterfront of Port Newark, the organization is considered the most prestigious heavy construction organization in North America.
Vice President at Keller and past President of the Moles, Paul Schmall, states that becoming a member is no small feat. “Candidates are nominated by a current member, reviewed by a membership committee, and voted in after a rigorous evaluation process.”

With over 18 years of geotechnical contracting experience, Adam Curry is currently a Project Executive for Keller’s Groundwater Control team, where he is responsible for project implementation and contract compliance, resource allocation and scheduling, cost estimating and budget oversight, and project management.
Adam has extensive experience with a wide range of specialty geotechnical construction techniques, including dewatering, ground freezing, groundwater control, groundwater treatment systems, and specialty grouting. Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bucknell University.

Jeffrey Di Stasi is Branch Manager, overseeing three Keller offices across New York and northern NJ. He has over 25 years of experience in geotechnical specialty construction, including ground improvement, grouting, and geostructural applications. In his current role, Jeffrey is responsible for branch performance, including oversight of engineering, estimating, operations, and project management.
Jeffrey holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Lafayette College and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.
Paul continues, “Adam and Jeffrey have consistently demonstrated the experience and professionalism required of a Mole. Their inductions are a testament to their accomplishments and the caliber of work they deliver every day.”
