Dar Cairo completes move to new headquarters Featured

DAR AL HANDASAH CAIRO (Shair and Partners) have completed a move to their new LEED Gold-certified headquarters in Smart Village, Cairo. Designed by Perkins+Will, the 41,800-m2 building provides work and amenity space for 2000 staff members.

The historic single-arch bridge of Plaka in Arta county, Greece collapsed after torrential rain that hit the area in the last days. The largest single arch stone bridge in the Balkans and the third in Europe was built during the 18th century, over the waters of Arachthos River by local craftsmen and was a major historical landmark in the area.

1 Dead, 1 Injured in Ohio Overpass Collapse

Officials are reporting that one person died and another was injured Monday night when a bridge collapsed on an I-75 overpass in Cincinnati, Ohio. The collapse occurred around 10:30 last night. Officials are reporting that the casualty was a construction workers and the injured person was a semi-truck driver. The semi-truck driver sustained multiple lacerations and is considered lucky to have survived.
