This construction will be used under a bridge in Holland, so as not to be necessary for bridges to get up for passing sailboats due to the fact that the height of their sails do not fit.

Many bridges lifted for passing the sailboats underneath. But this creates a huge problem with traffic jam with vehicles waiting for the bridge to be take its initial position again.

Dutch engineers thought a striking and original solution.

It is a vat, in which when the sailboats are inserted into, it is partially immersed and allows them to pass safely beneath the bridge. At the time of immersion, the surface of the water in the vat is 4 meters below the water level of the river.

The cost of construction will reach 60 million Euros and the depreciation of the project will be completed in 12 years.
