Description:
The YRC is an annual event which provides a platform for research students to present their work and exchange ideas with their peers, industry leaders and selected members of the Institution. The event provides a great networking opportunity and is an excellent addition to your CV. Following a keynote address, nine young researchers give 15 minute oral presentations and 16 other young researchers present their posters informally over an extended lunch.
The next generation of structural engineers who are enthusiastic about structural engineering and ready to make their mark. The YRC is open to those with less than three years (at the date of the conference) full time, or equivalent, research experience in structural engineering and normally under thirty years of age. Delegates may be students registered for research degrees, employees of research organisations or those in a research role in industry. Those in their first year of research are welcome to apply for a place but are not expected to present their work.
