    Structural Engineer Newsletter Issue #30
A monthly publication of TheStructuralEngineer.info - Center for Integrating Information on Structural Engineering
    December 2009

    Greetings,

Welcome to the last issue#30 of our Newsletter for 2009. The end of the year is almost upon us, so we would like to take this opportunity and review some of our recent activities. A brief overview of last year's Website Statistics can also be found here. Our Center has currently about 6,000 visitors each month.

We are happy that the number of our subscribed members has increased steadily over the last years, rising from 1,400 in April 2007 to more than 3,300 in November 2009. Our Online Structural Engineering Library now includes more than 1,400 publications, divided into 20 categories. In May 2008, the Structural Engineering Forums & Bulletin Boards have been launched to offer the opportunity to our members to collaborate, discuss and find support on a variety of issues. In June 2008, the Structural Engineering Software Listing was introduced, to provide links to various programs, spreadsheets and web applications that are available online for free. In August 2008, the Structural Engineering Community Blogs have been developed in order to facilitate the access and exchange of information within the international structural engineering community.

However, the greatest venture was conceived with the launch of the new, completely redesigned, dynamic home page of TheStructuralEngineer.info.

TheStructuralEngineer.info website is continuously working on expanding its activities so as to provide even more valuable resources to the Structural Engineering Profession. Many new activities and resources are underway. What we need from all our members is your continued support and involvement. Please contact us if you wish to inform us about available resources on the web, or make a donation, or have your company become a corporate sponsor.

We would also like to acknowledge our sponsors, TNO Diana BV, CivilENGINEERINGnetBASE and Motagg Solutions, that with their contributions allow the growth of our website and encourage more companies to consider joining our programs. Finally, we would like to extend our appreciation to our Associates, Professor Mohan Gupta and Professor Tarik Mahdi for the valuable resources they continuously provide to the website.

We wish you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
