Analyses of Frames

  • Mechanical programs (by Gerrit Wolsink): "Framework": software for linear / non-linear / dynamic
analysis of 2D frames, influence lines of 2D frames & linear analysis of 3D frames. "Section properties
calculator": calculates properties of standard and non-standard sections.

  • Static and Dynamic Structural Analysis of 2D and 3D Frames: Free software for static and dynamic
structural analysis of 2D and 3D frames and trusses with elastic and geometric stiffness. Computes
the static deflections, reactions, internal element forces, natural frequencies, mode shapes and modal
participation factors of two- and three- dimensional elastic structures using direct stiffness and mass
    assembly.

  • Linpro 2.7.2: Linpro 2.7.2 is a simple application for static and dynamic analysis of plane frames. Static
analysis: Program supports different types of loads and is very flexible at creating structure. It has
almost everything you need for linear static analysis of plane frames. Modal analysis: Program
calculates natural frequencies and mode shapes of a structure. Dynamic analysis: In order to
determine dynamic response of a structure LinPro performs linear time-history analysis. As a solution
method LinPro uses mode superposition method. Available here.

  • TwoDFrame: TwoDFrame is software for the structural analysis of two-dimensional frames. It is used
by hundreds of engineers and thousands of students all over the world. It is completely integrated
within Microsoft Windows. It features a powerful graphical user interface unmatched in terms of ease-
of-use and productivity. Creation and modification of the structural model, running the analysis, and
checking and optimization of the design are all done through the same interface. Graphical displays of
the results are at the structural engineer's fingertips. TwoDFrame assists structural engineers with
structural timber design (Eurocode 5), structural steel design (Eurocode 3), and reinforced concrete
    design (Eurocode 2). Available here.

  • ThreeDFrame: ThreeDFrame is software for the structural analysis of three-dimensional frames. It is
completely integrated within Microsoft Windows. It features a powerful graphical user interface
unmatched in terms of ease-of-use and productivity. Creation and modification of the structural
model, running the analysis, and checking and optimization of the design are all done through the
same interface. Graphical displays of the results are at the structural engineer's fingertips.
ThreeDFrame assists structural engineers with structural timber design (Eurocode 5) and structural
steel design (Eurocode 3).  Available here.

  • ThreeDFEM: ThreeDFEM is software for the structural analysis of reinforced concrete slabs and walls.
It is completely integrated within Microsoft Windows. It features a powerful graphical user interface
unmatched in terms of ease-of-use and productivity. Creation and modification of the structural
model, running the analysis, and checking and optimization of the design are all done through the
same interface. Graphical displays of the results are at the structural engineer's fingertips. ThreeDFEM
assists structural engineers with reinforced concrete design (Eurocode 2). Available here.

  • FRAME: is a spreadsheet program written in MS-Excel for the purpose of plane frame analysis of portal
and gable  rigid plane frames subjected to various types of loading.  Available from Structural
    Engineers Association of South Carolina.

  • calc4fem template: Open source spreadsheet for plane frames, beams and trusses calculation.

  • calc4fem: Finite Element Method (FEM) for Open-Office Calc (beam. frame and truss calculation)
